Download ConnectLife app from Google Play or Apple App store and get connected and in control in just a few minutes:
Option 1: use the automatic setup for quick pairing, or
Option 2: the manual setup if you prefer to do it yourself.
Select your option in the app and follow these simple steps to get connected:
STEP 1: Turn on the unit you want to pair. You will need to disconnect the power on any other units in the RV to ensure it pairs to the correct unit.
STEP 2: Press the “horizontal swing” button on the remote control 6 times. The LED display on the indoor unit will show “77”, or the Wi-Fi indicator light will flash when it’s ready to pair.
STEP 3: Open your phone’s Wi-Fi settings to connect your phone to the unit’s temporary network. You’ll see a network that starts with HIS- and ends in a number. Don’t be alarmed if you see a message that says you’re not connected to the internet! You’ll connect to your home’s Wi-Fi in the next step.
STEP 4: Once you’re paired to the indoor unit, connect to your home network to complete the setup.
STEP 5: Change the name under settings to something that will help you remember where this unit is located, like “Master Bedroom” or “Living Area”.
And just like that, you’re done and ready to hit the open road in comfort! Repeat these steps for the remaining units in your RV, and watch our how-to video below for details on the features of your ConnectLife app.
Follow the five-step setup process in the app:
1. Download the app
2. Log in or create an account
3. Power on the unit and follow the in-app prompts to pair
4. Temporarily connect to the unit’s Wi-Fi
5. Complete setup in the app
No. Wi-Fi is only required for smart features like app control and voice commands. The unit can operate fully using the remote or onboard controls.
ConnectLife is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
Yes. Each unit has its own dashboard in the app, and you can organize them by room or location for simple control.
Yes. As long as the unit is connected to Wi-Fi, you can control it remotely through the app from anywhere.
Use the Share Access feature in the app to invite others. They’ll need the app and a login to access shared units.
Go to the unit’s settings in the app and select "Unpair." This can be useful during troubleshooting or after a factory reset.
- Ensure your phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network
- Restart the app and the unit
- Try using the manual pairing method
- Use the built-in app troubleshooting steps if needed
- Timer: Triggers a one-time on/off event
- Scheduler: Sets daily routines for automatic operation
Yes. Use the app's automation feature to create IF-THEN routines based on time, temperature, or system conditions.
No. The system must only be operated when the vehicle is parked and stationary.
The unit includes safety delays to protect internal components. Expect a 20-second delay at startup and a 3-minute delay between mode changes.
Built-in compressor protection may cause a short delay, especially when switching modes or restarting the system.
This is normal. The unit enters a preheat cycle for 2 to 5 minutes before it begins blowing warm air, to avoid discomfort from lukewarm airflow.
In Heat Mode, the unit occasionally pauses to defrost the outdoor coil. You may see a flashing light during this process, which typically lasts 2 to 10 minutes.
The unit is designed to run in ambient temperatures between 5°F-115°F in cooling mode, and -4°F-75°F in heating mode. If conditions fall outside that range, it may not perform efficiently or shut off temporarily to protect itself.
Yes. In humid conditions with windows or doors open, condensation may form and drip from the air outlet, especially in COOL or DRY mode.
This can happen briefly during mode transitions or when completing a cooling or defrost cycle. It’s part of normal operation.
Timing depends on room size, insulation, outdoor weather, and the selected mode. Mini splits are designed for steady, efficient performance—not instant temperature changes.
Check and clean the filter approximately every 1.5 - 2 weeks (250 hours) of use. The app will send you an alert when it’s time for maintenance.
If the unit shuts down due to a protection feature, your timer settings will be erased and must be reset after restarting.
The ConnectLife app and user manual provides step-by-step instructions for routine maintenance tasks like filter cleaning.
Your unit includes built-in protections to prevent damage. It may shut down temporarily due to overheating, power fluctuations, or environmental conditions.
No. The system is pre-charged and sealed. Refrigerant should never need to be added unless there is a leak.
Mini-splits are designed to run more quietly than a traditional HVAC unit. If your unit seems louder than usual, ensure nothing is blocking the airflow of the outdoor unit. Obstructions can increase noise levels and reduce performance.
